Between Sestri Levante and the Cinque Terre the coast becomes wilder: Moneglia, Deiva Marina, Framura, Bonassola and Levanto are quiet seaside villages with less crowded beaches and crystal-clear water. The best way to discover them is the cycle and footpath built on the old railway line, running along the cliffs through a series of tunnels from Levanto to Framura, on foot or by bike.

Our tip: arrive by train (just a few minutes from Sestri Levante), rent a bike in Levanto and stop at the coves along the way. Bring swimwear and water: between the tunnels there are free beaches where you can spend a few hours.
